Meet BEA, the Biomarker Extraction Analyzer. A patented discretised-microfluidics platform that turns a single droplet of sweat into a continuous clinical signal.
2024
Founding & Proof of Concept
TU/e spin-off established. NWO Faculty of Impact grant secured. BEA prototype built, 2 peer-reviewed papers published.
2025-2026
Optimisation & funding round
Sweat collection at rest optimised. Seed funding round to expand team and initiate preclinical studies. Currently raising.
2026–2027
Preclinical & clinical trials
First-in-human studies at partner hospital sites. Clinical validation of creatinine sensing against gold-standard blood tests.
2030+
CE certification & launch
CE Mark as a class IIb medical device. Commercial launch in EU hospital networks, home care, and remote monitoring platforms.
